General Conditions
In placing an order through this website you confirm you are over 18 years of age and are making an offer to purchase subject to these terms and conditions.
A binding contract is achieved once we have dispatched an order confirmation by email to you and each order will be deemed a separate contract.
If we fail to enforce one or more of our terms and conditions, we do not lose our right to enforce any of those remaining.
The laws of England and Wales will govern any contract between us and any disputes will be resolved exclusively within the courts of England and Wales.
Orders can only be taken for delivery to mainland UK, at present.
Refund, Replacement & Cancellation
You may return any product to Home of Lighting for no reason within 7 days of receipt.
For this type of return, the following conditions apply:
You must inform us in writing by email or post within 7 days of receiving the products, that you intend to return them. You will then receive an authorisation code to be displayed on the returned package.
The products must be in their original packaging, and complete with any components that were included (e.g. lampshades).
The lights should not have been installed, modified or used in any way and should be in an undamaged, re-saleable condition.
A refund will be made against your order transaction to cover the charge made for goods but not including any carriage costs. Carriage costs will not be refunded for non faulty goods and will be deducted if you qualified for a free postage offer.
Costs of return carriage are payable by the customer and goods can be returned through any Royal Mail Post Office.
Home of Lighting will in no way be liable for any costs incurred due to faulty goods or shortages such as electricians fees, time taken from place of employment etc.
Your refund will be made within 14 days of return of the goods.
We have the right to refuse refunds for failure to meet the above criteria.

You may return any faulty or damaged product to Home of Lighting and it will be replaced or refunded in full in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations of 2000.
For this type of return the following conditions apply:
Any goods delivered should be fully inspected upon arrival.

Warranty
All products sold (except light bulbs) come with a 12 month manufacturer's guarantee which does not cover any damage caused by wear and tear or accidental damage due to installation, repair or modification carried out without the manufacturer's approval. For products which are damaged upon delivery, please see Refund, Replacement & Cancellation.
Installation
A qualified electrician must install all products supplied. Liability will not be accepted for any personal damages such as electrocution due to improper installation.
Delivery
FREE DELIVERY on all orders placed over £100 (UK Mainland).
Delivery charges for orders under £100 will be up to £5.99 (UK Mainland). Standard delivery charges may be waived for promotional purposes.
Stock items will be dispatched within 24 hours of order, Monday to Friday, otherwise we expect to deliver within 10 days. We aim to aciheve same day despatch on orders received before 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Our usual hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00.
Next day delivery £9.00 per order.
It is not usually possible for us to arrange delivery on a weekend or bank holiday.
If your order has not been dispatched within the ten-day period, and we have not confirmed an exact dispatch date in this time, we will contact you again by email at this time to update the delivery position.
We cannot deliver outside the UK mainland.
If a delivery is delayed it may take up to 28 working days of receipt of order we will email you to arrange a convenient delivery date.
Stock Issues
If you do not receive the correct goods or quantity ordered due to errors on our part, we will arrange for the correct order to be delivered to you, usually within ten working days. The following applies:
You must notify us within 3 days of receipt, by email or letter, if an order is incorrect or incomplete.
Goods are sold subject to availability. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these goods or a full refund will be made to you.
We will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses that you may suffer if we do not supply goods.
If goods are not in stock they will be placed on a back-order and we will give you a new delivery date as soon as possible. You may at this stage remove any such items from your order at your discretion.
You will have the right to cancel any back-order that has not yet been supplied, up until 11am on the day prior to any dispatch. We will refund any payment that has already been made for those goods and any delivery charges applicable, on the day of cancellation.
There will be no additional charge for delivery of back-orders.
Privacy Policy
Home of Lighting are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not disclose your information to third parties. The information that we collect about you is that given by you at the time of placing your order and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, is used solely for the processing of your order. You have the option to be added to our mailing list to be kept up to date on Latest Products and Special Offers.
By using our online payment system from HSBC we will never see any personal transaction details.

Prices and Payment
The price you pay for the goods is that which prevails at the time you confirm your order. The following applies:
We reserve the right to change prices, without prior notice, to reflect any alterations made by our suppliers, changes in taxation or the addition of duties.
If prices shown on the web have been misrepresented or are incorrect in any way you will be informed of the correct price and given the right to amend or cancel your order. If we have already delivered the goods then you have the right to return the goods and receive a full refund of the price along with any delivery charges.
Prices shown are in Pounds Sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payment is required at the time of ordering in UK pounds sterling.

If our web site contains inaccuracies or errors we will not accept any liability for such incorrect information or its representation and neither shall any element of the site prove conditional or construed under a warranty representation.
